Anniversary event "20 Years of N Scale in Fremo" from 2008/10/02 to /05 in Naumburg

Event Location

Naumburg, near to Kassel (Haus des Gastes, Hattenhäuser Weg 10-12, 34311 Naumburg).

Arrangement

A common arrangement for all N scale groups in FREMO is planned. A main track with severeal larger stations will split to different tracks for the different fremo groups (AGVuM, AK5, fiNescale, Fremo-N und N-RE) or special regions/countries (local line Kassel-Naumburg, Danmark, Poland und Czech Republic). The group america-N will also be present with its own arrangement.

All modules should be fitted out with landscape. Track material should be of code 40 or code 55 (excluded fiddle yards). We will drive exclusively digitally (DCC/loconet). For each announced station a station data sheet has to be available.

Vehicles

The wagons driving on continuous courses have to be equipped with resistor axles (german: "Widerstandsachsen") because of the determination of occupied tracks (german: "Gleisfreimeldung") in the large stations Karlsruhe-Durlach and Sonneberg ("Widerstandsachsen-howto" can be found here).

Vehicles with RP25 wheel sets are also necessary for trains on continuous courses, since not all modules can be passed with NEM wheel sets. Vehicles, which do not leave their respective ranges (i.e. group areas), can correspond to the standard of the respective group. The same is valid for the used couplers.

Vehicles shall have unique DCC-addresses! Please check FredL-database (menu item "ID-Verwaltung") and reserve address areas for your vehicles (or ask someone to do this for you).

Operational concept

The driven period is from the late 1960s to the early 1970s (depending on the railway company) (epoch III). Drivers will get jobs so they have to drive serveral trains with the same loco. There will be two half sessions for each (model-)day. The fiddleyards will get colors.

Assembling

Assembling begins at tuesday, 2008/10/02, 10:00am. Disassembling is planned for sunday 2008/10/05, 1:00pm.

By car

Use road map and city map or switch on your navigation system.

It appears to be most meaningful to travel by train to Kassel and then by bus or taxi to Naumburg.

Lodging

Inside the "Haus des Gastes" you can find a restautrant. Further possibilities of food supply can be found in the town.

Thursday and Sunday there is escalope available in the restaurant, Friday und Saturday there is buffet available (reservation required). Price is about 7 Euro.
